BBSS - Der "Bern Benefit in Single-Sided Deafness" Fragebogen (Deutsche Version)
Der "Bern Benefit in Single-Sided Deafness" oder BBSS ist ein kurzer (10 Fragen) Fragebogen zur Emittlung des subjektiven Nutzens einer CROS (=Contralateral Routing of Signals) Versorgung bei einseitiger Taubheit. Er wurde konzipiert, um es Kandidaten für eine CROS Versorgung während der Probephase zu erleichtern, systematisch in einer breiteren Auswahl von Situationen den Nutzen der Versorgung zu beurteilen. Daneben lässt er eine effiziente Abschätzung der Entscheidung für eine permanente Versorgung (Punktesumme 15 oder mehr) oder gegen eine Versorgung (weniger als 10 Punkte) zu [1]. Der Fragebogen kann für konventionelle und für Baha-CROS Versorgungen verwendet werden.

The "Bern Benefit in Single-Sided Deafness" or BBSS is a short (only 10 questions) questionnaire to assess the subjective benefit of a CROS (=Contralateral Routing of Signals) fitting in persons with unilateral deafness. It was created originally to help candidates for CROS hearing aids to test their device in a number of different situations in order to be able to reach a stable and rational assessment of their perceived, subjective benefit. Apart from this aim, it has been found [1] that the questionnaire allows a efficient estimation of whether the user will ultimately decide for a CROS hearing aid (total score of 15 or more points) or against such a device (10 points or less). The questionnaire can be used for conventional CROS or for Baha-CROS candidates.
